So I really think the bottom three tonight will be Jason, Brooke, and Syesha. Although I think Carly has a chance of that, too. I do love Jason's style, but it was just ok last night. And as for Brooke ok you messed up the lyrics, but did she really have to start the band over again, sure David A. messed up, but he kept going and didn't let it get to him.
1. SYESHA: She needed personality to glow, and thats exactly what she did. By far the best overall performer last night.
2. DAVID COOK: He did exactly what he needed at the right point of the competition... he showed his voice... and oh man he can sing!!! I know that he is a better rocker, but lets just say that no one can say he is a one-trick singer anymore!
3. CARLY: I know she is not the public favorite, but last night she was great! She looked confident and relaxed, and this was exactly what she needed to showcase her voice!
4. ARCHULETA: Besides the fact that he mumbled part of the song, he sounded good again. Please underline the work again. He was my early favorite, but he sounds the same every week... I'm bored.
5. JASON: He was like a cat in the water: very tense and uncomfortable. It was just not his type of song: it required a lot of voice-power, and we all know he doesn't have it.
6: BROOK: The song was not terrible once she got it right, but to stop the song? AGAIN? This is just a fatal mistake at this stage of the competition... She is a good singer, but maybe the AI stage and the pressure is too much for her...

both Jason and Brooke are no brainers for not seeing the top three, I think it's an interesting battle for that number 3 spot tho! Carly and Syesha are gonna be a real close call. I think Carly will fall into it because I don't think Syesha has the popularity behind her and I also think she is horrible at picking BIG songs. She keeps showing us what her voice can't do instead of showing us what it can do.
OK I have to agree with Alumni. In fact I would go further and say that the competition has become too long now. I know they need to sell advertising and get ratings and such, but it is now obvious who the two most talented are.
Even on a bad night (and neither of them were particularly good last night) they outshine the rest by a mile. Why we have to go through this charade for another month is... well... sorry its just getting boring now until the final.
The only thing to look forward to is when they start singing two songs per week.

Jason Castro is my favorite and in my opinion has the most original style of them all. He should win it based on that alone. David Cook is my second favorite, but he's ultimately just another Chris Daughtry. David Archuleta has a great voice but he is very boring. Of all of them I would more likely buy Jason Castro's album because his style is the best.

David Cook is an outstanding singer and did an awesome job last night. In fact, he, Syesha, Carly and David A. were all very impressive. Jason and Brooke are always the same...same coffee house performances...it's time for them to GO.
