Who is getting cut tonight?
One more contestant will bid farewell to Hollywood tonight and be sent home giving the remaining contestants a little more hope that they're going to be crowned the next American Idol. Unfortunately for them though, the majority are going to be left majorly disappointed.
One of the biggest new comers to pop is performing tonight, the winner of UK's The X Factor - 
Leona Lewis.
38 million votes were cast tonight but as the final 6 perform All I ask of You you can't help feeling that this is a complete waste of time for one of them so they'd better be enjoying every final second of performing on that stage.
Both David Archuleta and David Cook are safe!

Of course Carly and Michael never had a chance even though they are strong singers. Americans will only vote for Americans, dare they support any outsiders even if they are good, look at the Oscars for the same pattern.

I don't agree with the results, but can't say that I'm surprised - this is not a real singing contest, but a popularity contest. Here are my thoughts on the final six:
For all of you folks that like Jason Castro, get your ears and eyes checked - he is a weird monkey looking hippie wanna be that's probably high 99% of the time and who most importantly cannot sing better than your average karaoke night regular.
For all of you Brooke fans, she also blows - started and stopped twice this season, talks back to judges, has minimal range and is just akward to watch if she doesn't have a piano.
Archuleta is a good singer, but I agree that he is being carried by the little girl vote. He may be young, but look at the success of no talent ass clowns such as Hillary Duff and Miley Cyrus. Archuleta definitely sings circles around both of those "superstars".
Sayesha and David Cook are better singers than any of the remaining contestants. I have no problems with either of them winning this singing competition.
Finally, Carly - I don't think she would have won it all, but she certainly is a better singer than Brooke or Castro.
Ok, now i know who's American Idol voter aside of Simon Fuller, they're Dumb Stupid girl that doesn't know what singing contest mean. Or i missed something here?

I think it's pathetic that an amazing singer like Carly went home while Jason is still up there. THe only reason he's there is because of his dreads and blue eyes. He can't sing and he's certainly not charming, as Simon says.
Jason would be wonderful to have singing around a campfire, but it's amazing that he is in the top 5 of American Idol, he is the best that this country has to offer-- PATHETIC!
I'm sorry but Archuleta is a pretty boring singer! Castro is cute and in his own little world. Cook looks like a cow licked his head! Syesha is a very good singer Brooke bores me to tears...

It was a bad night for us hearing that Syesha and Carly is in the bottom two. I dont believed it was a fan based. The two are very good.

Hellooooo, did anyone miss the fact that Carly forgot the words last night too. During the first Jesus Christ , Jesus Christ chorus she sang Jesus Christ, Superstar, and had to switch and catch up with the background singers. Notice after she finished tonight how she commented that at least she remembered the words tonight. I didn't think Carly should have left tonight, but stop beating up the other singers for forgetting the words
Brooke is soooooo boring!! I usually went to the frig to get a soda whenever she sang. DULL!!! Carly was at least exciting, vivacious, talented and fun.
Look at the poll on the right side of this page. Everyone wants Brooke gone....not sure what happened with the voting. I voted 20 times for Carly.
I'm very Disappointed about tonight, Carly is one of the best there, sorry but Brooke is nothing without a guitar or the piano, she can not sing, perform, dance...she is nice and kiut but this is not about being kiut or seem concern or nice...this is about WHO HAS THE BEST VOICE!!!, BROKE SHOULD BE OUT OR CASTRO, again he can be charming as Simon said but singing..ummmm NO WAY!!!As far as I'm concern I don't see a reason to watch this show anymore, Carly made it interesting she had an amazing voice, little David A. is good but he is becoming a bit boring..
I think a lot of people is disappointed and will stop watching the show, what a big mistake the same thing that they did with the Australian singer Michael Jhon....
Go figure..... Carly and Syesha were the most entertaining this week, David C consistently strong, although I didn't care for the song, David A's getting a little boring to watch, his songs are sounding more and more the same, no versatility, but Brooke and Jason were just plain painful to watch!!!! On talent alone, Jason would have been gone a while ago, with Brooke close behind........ Even Jason himself looked like he was in shock! I'm all set for this season.
Well where should I start. First thing is that I have been watching since Idol started. I have heard many rumors that the producers control everything on the show including the voting results. I can no longer watch this fixed competition. It's like watching pro wrestling you know that the winner was already been picked. After watching this show tonight it time to say goodbye to Idol in my life.
Oh please! People were saying at the start of the competition that Carly would win because she already had connections with Randy etc.
Moreover, you guys and gals have to know the nature of the game...
Clearly Brooke and Jason were predicted to go...HOWEVER, with that being said, they probably got the highest number of votes because all of their fans probably voted really intensely for them...FORGETTING about the other contestants, specifically Carly and Syesha.
I'm so glad that Brooke is safe...wow...that was a close call. And I'm also glad that Syesha made it through as well. I want to see these two in the final. David Archuleta is pretty overrated and David Cook is good, but NOT that good. Carly had too much self-confidence...and I'm still not sure what Jason is doing there.

thats extremly harsh, shes a great singer, and shes obviously funny. Shes a fantastic singer, and i seriously wish she would have won,
and you know, i cant stand david archuletta. hes sixteen and damn it his voice isnt even manly yet. he still spits when he talks, hes too bashful. and the only reason why he is going on and on is because every one thinks hes cute... well not me =]

While I think Carly has been slipping on the totem pole I by no means thought she would be in the bottom two let alone go home. I thought for sure it would be Jason and Brooke who's peformances were the weakest this week. Idol is full of surprises this year.

Yes, I am glad to see Carly go tonight, but I really don't feel like it's her night. The judges were right when they said it was a popularity contest tonight. If the votes went in the way of the performances last night, Jason and Brooke would have been in the bottom 2 and Jason would be going home.
My favorite (David Cook) is still in the running, so I'm happy. I just don't agree with who is going home this time.
Carly sings rings around both Jason and Brooke. David A sings through his nose and is around because of the little 14 year-olds that keep voting for him. Jason's song was a wreck. Brooke forgot the words along with David A, but Carly who was awesome goes home. That is stupid.
