The producers of American Idol did not do a very good job of hiding their choice for who, in their eyes, "should" and will win. Archuleta has gotten the most exposure from day one. Granted he can carry a tune but his performances are nothing more than overly emotional, robotic, cookie cutter sing alongs to lame karaoke arrangements. Notice how the judges try to sway the public by saying that Archuleta won every round while Cook was by far more versatile, creative, and entertaining. Archuleta is forgettable and that is exactly what will happen, just like Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks. Looks like everything in America that is based on voting is a big sham. Don't waste your time.

If your into someone who can only sing slow songs, then vote for Archy! The kid needs to grow up and stop being such a cry baby.

Cook, well that guy just rocks! He prooved tonight that he can sing anything, fast or slow and it sound good. I however think Cook could could do better without American Idol and get a record deal of his own. At least he wouldn't be stuck with Idol for the next 5 years or so and he could be a big hit.

Either way people vote, Cook will come out on top!!!!

david cook has a good personality instead of laughing all weird . He actually gives answers to instead of archie laughing and saying every second "im wierd" hahaha.

Also he can sing, and he has good performances. archie can sing really good but just goes up and down haha, not very entertaining.

Don't get me wrong, it does not mean i do not like Archuleta, I just believe David cook would be a better American Idol.

HEy, frorgive me if this has been said before, I realy didnt have time to go trhough every single post, but hasn't anybody notcied archuletta's annoying habit of stretching the words to any song. Be it Imagine, or With You. Personally, I don't see why everybody's so hot about David A. doin John Lennon. Imagine's a song people WANT to sing along to. But with Archuletta's constantly annoying variations, singing along was brought down to a minimum.

Cook on the other and is NOT STEREOTYPICAL. He knows how to rock it out. he knows how to make ANY song his own. I dont know anybody else that can make Mariah Carey sound good. Cook has this amazing ability to make a song sound like a radio-ready single. Any song that he's done so far couldve made it big as a single.

And it's a pity Michael Johns left. He could've done wonders.

Anyways, Cook is re-writing Idol history, never beofre has a soul-rocker won the show!

Archuleta is winner.. Why? American Idol 2008 is the first season I see and I love it, really love it. I'm impressive with Archuleta... He sings perfectly...

I see everyone wants to vote for their idol and I'm too, but I don't think I like someone and i vote for her or him, no no I think I will listen she or he sings and I will vote... I like Brooke, but I agree with result: she went out... I listen Cook's song, special "I don't want to miss a thing", Who can imagine this is the song of Aerosmith or something like that, I can't believe this is the song, I think this is a mess and Cook scream, not sing, if you can hear Aero sings, you will understand what I say. I'm so shameful, If AeroSmith can heard this song, I think they will kill him.... I heard this song more 100 times this is my love song and I don't think who can sing this song is so worse than Cook, I swear that... His voice is raucous, not clear and not special, he is the rock singer, no no no, I don't think so, he is fox which can scream so well...

About Archuleta's song, his father chosen for him, why not?, I agree with him, Archuleta is 17, so young, he needs his father's help... I think his family wants Archu to become the actually best singer, and his father try to has knowledge about music and he gave Archu best choice, It's so wonderful... I think not only Archu does his best to become the best singer, but also his family does too... Succeed isn't easy, Archu is so hard to succeed if he's alone, I think His family is the belief, force for him. And I think Archu is so wonderful, every song which his father chosen for him, he can perform so perfectly, I think he try, try, try more to sing these songs so perfectly, he thinks perfect performance is a gifl for his family, special his father.

Finally about Taylor Hicks, I have just heard his song when he performed in Asian Idol, Vietnam Idol - Phuong Vy joined too... I really really like him, I like his song "Do I Make You Proud"... I think he worthies to become American Idol... And I think if he sings so bad, but so better than Cook.

I have one question for Simon, Paula, Randy and you: Why do you choose David Cook? He is the singer or you want him to be a singer, I think you want, but he can't because he is never singer, if he is singer or American Idol, i think I will be Elvis Presley, and everyone will be John Lennon ... Yup

i personally like david archuleta, but i dont care who wins anymore. look at hicks, he went NOWHERE, and he won, look at daughtry, he came in FOURTH and he won. and then there are inbetweens like kelly clarkson and carrie underwood who won AND did ah-mazing. so it would be nice for arch to win because it GUARANTEES him a contract, but both he and cook will do well and most likely become big. i think cook will win though they are both really good and deserve whatever they get come thursday morning.

Both Davids are so talented. The whole argument is which genre you like better. Cook is a rocker and does every song the same in his own style. I like his gravelly voice and perfoming style. Archuleta is pop and does every song the same. He prefers ballads, yes, (at least in this competition to showcase his voice) but has done a very good job on Sweet Caroline, America and Stand by Me. These are not ballads people, have you forgotten. I will admit that With You was not very good, but with a little more training I think he could handle this type of music and appeal to the masses. Remember Archuleta is only 17 and has many years to develop. Look how much he has grown and matured in only 3 months. Personally, I would be much more likely to listen to the pop style of Archuleta than the rock style of Cook.

David Archuleta has a voice like few others. Okay, some say all his songs sound the same. Maybe to some of you they do. However, if you really listen to David Cook, so does he ... He has the same sound on all of his songs. Okay, I like Cook and will certainly buy his album, but for pure vocal talent, he can not come close to Archuleta's amazing clarity.

BOTH will make it big in the music industry! Both will have amazing career's. Both will be sought after in person, eBay, concerts .. etc.

But I would like to see for once American Idol be awarded to the person who most deserves it.

I pretty much agree with David A. performance is pretty much the same thing every time, he doesn't really perform to the audience, and his vocals seem to not have a range.
America should vote for the one person they think can make it into the industry and actually buy their albums.

I'm a huge fan of David Archuleta. I feel that he has a spark & pureness to his voice. He just grabs your soul in each performance that he does & I really think he is the most deserving of the Idol crown. He's everything an Idol should be & he definately has all of my votes next week.
