I like them both but my hundred or so votes went for David A last night. I reminded my friend to vote also since she loves David C. We probably canceled each other out if she voted last night.

I love David A as I havne't heard anything so refreshing in a while. I think he'll go far the same as David C will. America can always use another rocker. I have a feeling he'll be big sort of like Daughtry.

I have to say; it was nice seeing the 2 make it this year to the finals that actually deserved to be there.

Good luck to them both! I'll be buying both of thier albums.

I Love You, David Cook! You deserve to win like no one has deserved to win before. You are clearly the more talented of the two. You are a singer, songwriter, musician - the best kind of artist in the biz. You are the complete package. When you do make an album, it will have some of your own songs that you have written and composed. That's what being an artist is all about. It's not just about standing there singing someone else's song. He pours his heart and soul into it his songs to make them his own. Every song he sings represents just what he could make happen with his own songs, and it is amazing. He's the only singer this year that has made me cry, get up and dance, laugh and sing along with him. This is the most excited I've been in a long time about a potential Idol winner. Thank you David Cook for bringing back the magic. He is truly amazing!

I think DA had the nite.... purely based on singing safe songs, singing the last song, singing Imagine (well) as the last song & for some reasons, having Simon's strong vote.

DC's songs rocked!!! the judges really got it wrong... maybe they wanna help DA's career...

based on talent & selling records/concerts, DC is a complete package... and has been the consistent entertainer thoughout the season, more than DA..... THAT should be the true Idol.

First of all...if DA's first song was safe...then you really need to better understand music. "Don't let the sun go down on me" is nowhere near easy.

Second, don't hate simply because DA learned how to play the AI game...he picked a second song that (as Simon himself said) "is more in line with the show tonight". Simply a great song choice. DC picked, yet ANOTHER rock song...which is his niche...but hardly audible...the music was much better than the few lyrics you could understand.

Third, they were SUPPOSED to pick a pre-performed song. DA picked his deal maker song...can't fault him for that. Sure...DC takes risks...and picking the third song he did just didn't pay off...accept the consequences of the decisions you make...don't blame the other competitor for being smart or don't start negating the other's talent just because your gamble didn't pay off.

They will both do well...but DA clearly played the game better and should win the whole deal.

DAVID COOK is an artist...sure David Archuleta can sing...but it is always a "safe" song...something the judges are critical of during the competition and then Simon ripped Cook for NOT playing it safe tonight????...Cook rocks each song in a whole new way! THAT IS AN AMERICAN IDOL! I cannot wait for his album!

Both David Archuleta and David Cook are great singers. Archuleta's got the smooth buttery voice and he emotes well, but I think David Cook is in a class by himself. His voice, his charisma, his performance chops, his willingness to take chances, his originality and the fact that he doesn't always pick the most popular songs and picks what he likes and what moves him. He rocks. Cook I'd see in concert with no hesitation, Archuleta I wouldn't unless someone bought me ticket...
