Top 11 Results

Submitted by The Critic on Wed, 2009-03-18 19:08

It's the results show for the second week of the finals. Will someone be sent home this week or will we have the result vetoed by the judges and have a double eviction next week?

While we're expecting to be saying goodbye to Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver is the pick of many. I guess we'll learn the result soon enough.

The tribute to the Grand Ole Opry last night concludes with a performance by the Top 11 of Travis Tritt - T-R-O-U-B-L-E - T-R-O-U-B-L-E T-R-O-U-B-L-E and it's nothing on the last few group performances we've seen on the American Idol stage.

It's results time. Ryan reminds us that only the Top 10 go on the American Idol Road Tour so whoever goes home tonight, wont be on the bus.

Danny Gokey is safe. So is Lil Rounds. Anoop Desai is also safe.

Either Allison Iraheta or Michael Sarver are in the bottom three. Allison is in the bottom three. Major shock.

But wait, Ryan is toying with us. Michael Sarver is also told he's in the bottom three.

Opry member Brad Paisley performs his new single Brad Paisley - Then (Single Edit) - Single - Then Then.

Back to the results. Scott MacIntyre is also going on tour. Joining Scott is Megan Corkery, Matt Giraud and Kris Allen.

Adam Lambert and Alexis Grace are the final two idols left waiting for their verdict. It should be fairly obvious that Alexis will be in the bottom three. And Alexis it is.

Ryan gives Allison a reprieve and she is safe.

Carrie Underwood performs Carrie Underwood - Carnival Ride - I Told You So I Told You So with Randy Travis.

The judges have confirmed that one of the two finalists would have them consider using the veto on. Results after the break.

Michael is safe. Alexis Grace is gone.

Alexis performs Jolene again in the hopes she can sway the judges and convince them to use the veto. It's a no.

Next week we're celebrating 50 years of Motown. Catch you then!

Because it makes for great

Because it makes for great ratings to degrade and exploit your favorites. Idol has turned into a cruel and manipulative show that has jumped the shark.

I cant stand that new judge

I cant stand that new judge i dont even no her name an paula is dopey and simon is the man..straight up value his oppinion thats what you want godd would please take off paula or the other one haha they talk too much ****

exactly .. "saving from

exactly .. "saving from judges" can be embarassment twice just like what happened to Alexis

I do not like the idea of

I do not like the idea of someone getting voted off then have the judges say. Wait a minute we might save you, then turn around and say sorry, you didn't make it. thats a double hit for hurt. Alexis sang her heart out hoping to get back in, only to be hurt again. America has the final say now so let it be. Judges should stay out of this and let america vote.

It was pathetic watching the

It was pathetic watching the judges make Alexis Grace beg for a position in the top ten. I don't think I will be able to watch AI again because of it. It's a moment I which I could forget. Simon and company must be feeling like God right now.

Adam Lambert HAS MAJOR

Adam Lambert HAS MAJOR PROBLEMS. Johnny Cash is probably turning cartwheels in his Q#*E$& GRAVE right now! You couldn't have sung that worse if you did it by setting cats on fire at different intervals and taping the notes as if they were singing! That was like a black hole in that not even light could escape from the depths of its crappiness! Love IDOL, but he's gotta go.

i totally agree with you.

i totally agree with you. his performance was a complete disaster! i don't like the way he sings -- all the shrieking and the drama..it just doesn't work for me. honestly, it's uncomfortable to watch. i was surprised that the judges (except Simon) gave positive comments about it! i really don't understand why adam lambert is still in the competition and why people like him.

Could someone tell me why,

Could someone tell me why, when the singers do a group song, they all lip sync. ? IT really takes away from the show!

I don't believe they usually

I don't believe they usually lip sync. It was shamefully blatant this week, though!
