Patrick Hall

Submitted by AI_Jane on Sun, 2006-11-05 15:12

Hi all! Anyone a Patrick Hall fan? I totally think he should have gotten farther than he did.

I just saw that he has a song out and I saw his video on his Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/patrickhallfan) - it's a really funny take on Paula, Simon and Randy. You gotta see this!

Anyone else seen this? Know how I can get a copy of his song?

Thanks!

Ayla Brown signs records deal

Submitted by The Critic on Sun, 2006-08-27 21:21

Making the Top 12 of American Idol doesn't necessarily guarantee you a record deal but that hasn't even mattered to Ayla Brown who just missed out on making the cut. Despite this, the minute Ayla's contractual obligations expired she signed a recording contract with Double Deal Brand Records.

Her debut single, "Know You Better/I Quit" will be released Sept. 12, with the CD, titled "Forward" being released on Oct. 17.

Ayla has co-written two songs on the album, Falling Into You and Thanks to You, and also features songs written by Grammy Award Winners Diane Warren and Tommy Sims.

Chris Daughtry being headhunted by Fuel

Submitted by The Critic on Mon, 2006-05-15 21:31

After Ryan crushed Chris Daughtry's hopes of winning American Idol he's found himself in hot demand, not just on the talk show circuit, but by the band Fuel who want Chris to take over the lead singers role.

While Chris was reluctant to say he'd accept the offer when Ryan Seacrest quizzed him on his radio show, the band had this to say on their official website

'All right. Check it out. Here's the deal. Normally, obviously, we would never even think about anyone from Am Idol as a singer for Fuel. However, ever since Chris sang Hemorrhage on the show, we began paying attention. Sorry, the show's not my thing, but at least most of the finalist can sing and aren't Britney Spearing it up there. However, Chris in my opinion has carried himself well on the show and has stayed true to his rock side, which is a serious credit to him considering the format. We have found some great guys through the audition process and in fact, were already headed in other directions when Chris unexpectedly got voted off the show. The phones started ringing. So now what? I think anyone would say that we would at least have to entertain the idea of Chris and Fuel. The websites have been flooded with support for the idea ever since he sang Hemorrhage from most of you. So that is what we are doing. We are entertaining the idea and the offer to Chris was that we would be willing to entertain him as an option. However, there is a lot to discuss and be decided. Is it right for us? Would it be the right thing for Chris? Would he even be able to get out of the contractual obligations to Am Idol? Would we be able to get things squared with Sony? So nothing is cut and dry, even if both camps thought it was right thing to do, it still might be impossible to work out all the details. Chris and I have discussed the possibility before and we are still entertaining the idea. Either way, never fear, we are coming with a great lead singer very soon who we are very excited about and rolling out a record this year.

The next step on Chris's journey will be an interesting one and everyone will be anxiously watching to see where he goes from here. Exciting stuff!

Chris Daughtry shouldn't have been booted

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2006-05-10 21:59

I can't believe they booted off Chris tonight.  The guy has a lot of talent, and I just don't understand why the votes didn't reflect that.  He's the one thing that kept me and my friends watching American Idol.   Chris, you'll go a long way, so keep up the good work and all the best..
