I immediately went to find her mom on sounds of blackness, but Paris stands above all I heard.  If her mom can win Grammy's, Paris is sure to follow whether through Idol or not.

I love Paris - Paris Bennett that is....I think she is so sincere, honest and modest.  The fact that she is going through American Idol on her own, instead of using her families record industry connection is great!!  She has the voice, she has the determination, and whether you like it or not she is doing it on her own...YOU GO GIRL!!

Paris. Paris. PARIS! That girl totally blew me away! I've never heard ANYONE sound like her. I think she's even surpassed some of the greats of our time. Everything was right and she made it look so effortless.  When she sang the Billie Holiday song...I had to throw my shoe at the TV. If this girl doesn't make it, I've lost all hope in the American public. I'll be buying 3 of her CD's when they come out...American Idol or not. I love the fact that she's down to earth and ever so humble. All future AI contestants...please learn a lesson from her!

I agree, she's wonderful, above anything I have heard.  I know she will be in the finals, and with our prayers, the next american idol, and to think she's only 17!! This American Idol is going to be good.

I know that she a star because I've been around music all my life also but this Paris is truly a gift from God. When she blew that Billy Holiday song I couldn't stop the tears from falling, and I'm a grown man.

I have known Paris all my life....she truly is a sweet girl....I am honestly her God-sister. I have known Paris since she was 6 months old. We are so proud of here. She called me the another day and she just sounds different. GO PARIS!!! In my eyes she is already a winner.

Oh .... my.... GOD....  I agree.  I'd love to see anyone who could rival her.  She was so humble, polite, and such a living DOLL!  She was too cute for words.  Also her voice is so mature for her age!!!  Not to mention she sang better than everyone I've heard so far, both young and older than her!  I'm impressed.  There are no words to describe the heart and soul she demonstrated on American Idol...

Her grandmother was Aunt Sally in the movie called The Fighting Temptations. You know the Beyonce and Cuba movie.

The song is on "If Only....Billie Unsung" by Thomasina. But Paris actually sounds WAY better than the CD. I listened to it on Napster.   And the winner is.......... Paris Bennet. I won't be watching Idol to see who the winner is, I just want to hear her sing again.

I really did enjoy Pairs voice she has a wonderful voice and you can tell she knows how to sing. I was just happy that someone step up and brought everything that AMERICAN IDOL stands for. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!

I cannot wait to see Paris in concert.  Unbelieveable that is the only word to say.  I was speechless.  I had to go back and watch it again Wednesday to make sure that she was that good!  And she was!  How does a someone do Billie Holiday as good as Billie Holiday!  Again I can't wait to see this Paris in concert.  I think her family waited to unleash this girl!

I would agree. When she sang, i thought that she was in a completely different league, and far better than the competition deserves. The uniqueness of her voice meant that i would buy her CD sight unseen now and i am a very picky buyer! Good luck!

This girl is the winner as far as I'm concerned.   I got chills listening to her.  There is not another person out of all the auditions that can touch her.  She's in a league of her own.

Yeah, a Paris that can help bring a good reputation to the name Paris. I am a Paris also and am so tired of hearing Paris Hilton jokes... My cousin is married to Chris Daughtry though...this is going to be a toughy. I hope they make it to the final 2...is that asking too much? Nawwww!

PERFECTION!!!  A true star is born and an all time great singer.  The 17 year old who will not be known as just the girl who won American Idol.  She is bigger than the show.  I hope that she gets the right publicity to become a Diva.  Paris Bennett will be recieving a Grammy of her own for years to come and a greatest hits album.

Paris is both beautiful inside and outside im not saying dis coz peers think i look alot like her! she has da most amazing voice i have every had.

paris (and the country girl simon says is better than last season winner) r the top females. mandisa can sing well, but that style singing is passe, and wont chart on billboard in this day and age, not to mention mandisa isnt really alicia, beyonce, or mariah in the making. i think mandisa can only do niche records, not mainstream pop superstar records, shes the male version of ruben, if she wins, we will hav another idol who wont last. so paris is it for the girls (the guys collectively r better this season), but paris should loss some of that sweetness, its starting to appear boring and fake, show a bit of feistiness, and divaness, and competitiveness. beyonce mariah and alicia r charttoppers bec of the semi-bitchy image!!!!!
