Submitted by The Critic on Thu, 2012-02-23 19:07

Last night we left Adam Brock hanging with the judges, wondering if he'd wond a spot in the Top 24.  He sure did!

Jeremy Rosado has wowed the judges throughout the competition so far and it's no surprise that he's also made it into the Top 24.

Shannon Magrane hasn't had a perfect run leading into this part of the show.  It's enough to make the Top 24 though.

Scott Dangerfield is hoping that this attempt at making the finals is successful.  It's not.  Jennifer wants him to come back though.

Skylar Laine has been referred to by the judges as a young Reba.  If that's the case, of course she's through.

Also making through to the semi finals of American Idol are Hallie Day, Chase Likens and Aaron Marcellus.

Last year DeAndre Brackensick made the Top 40 but missed out on the Top 24.  This year is different as this year he'll be singing for your vote American!

Simon Cowell has announced that the second season of The X Factor USA will have two hosts.

The show’s judge told reporters this week that he wants one man and one woman to host the talent series.

"It will be two. What we've learned on the show is you have so much information you have to relay as one person that I think it's almost impossible to have one person doing the hosting job. You have to give out so much information from phonelines to integration of the sponsors; they are like newscasters now, it's a much bigger role.

American Idol - Las Vegas round - S11E11

It's time to find out if our 70 remaining contestants can handle the big stage as the final test of worthiness hits Las Vegas.

It'll be the hits of the fifties with the queen of mean, American Idol vocal coach Peggi Blu.

The contestants are put into groups before they sing some classic rock and roll where they'll be either cut, or put through.

First up is Cari Quoyser, Chasen Likens, Skylar Laine and Colton Dixon sing Dedicated to the One I Love.  They're all pretty good and it's hard to pick someone I'd cut first up.  A difficult call for the judges coming up.  It's the end of the line for Cari though.

It's a two hour torture tonight as our remaining contestants have churning stomachs, either by nerves or by the bug many of them have caught.

First to take the stage are The Betties. They're really not that great with Hit 'Em Up Style after being so sick and only Jennifer Malsch and Carrie Quoyeser progress while others head home or to the bathroom to throw up some more.

Last night we left Symone Black lying on the floor after she fell off the stage, leaving her unconcious.  She comes to and they take her to hospital.  The line that had been waiting, finally learn their fate. Jeremy Rosado and Nico Starr make it through.

185 survive day one of the American Idol Hollywood Week round but next up is the Group round.  The drama is about to take it's toll.

For the last 10 years, the groups night has caused so much drama.  Clashing personalities, difficult song choices, choreography, drama!

The groups need to be made up of both day one and day two contestants.  Some groups form quickly and easily but there are plenty of others who can't find others to join with them.  It's shaping up to be another disaster filled round.

After everyone finally gets into groups, Symone Black arrives back from the hospital.  Her father is rather annoying and it's good to see him finally leave her alone to get on with it.
