Cook won't last. He is like every other rock singer out there. He has a really good rock voice, but he's just not unique enough for me. I actually can't think of anyone around today that sounds like Archuleta. The kid has soul, which is pretty great considering his age. I think he'll go on to be a great artist and in a few years, I think he'll be a really great song writer too.
I hope Archie wins.
thank you. the old love songs back in my moms days like frank Sinatra , them were clean songs. when love had a meaning. not the filth they sing now and call it music. and david has a pure heart and an innocence that most kids his age dont have.any more. how sad that is.and we owe that to the modern ways of this world. so its up to good parents to teach good values. and you dont have to listen to rock or rap to be cool. a good example DAVID A. GOD BLESS HIM. HIS SMILE LIGHTS UP THE WORLD.
by the way, the songs david A picks are all from the heart. that is what he does best. and further more people are picking his songs. so if having a lot of heart is to boring and old fashioned. that shows you where the world is at today. and rock rules. then so be it. god bless you david for having such a good heart.

Archeletta is the best by far he is young, clean cut, cute and the right age to be the American Idol and I know he will win.
David A. sounds flat when he sings. If he tried for a record deal off the streets, he would be denied. I work with record execs every day, and Archuletta does NOT have it. David Cook is the best idol since Daughtry and will go on to sell way more albums than Archuletta ever dreamed of. I still think Daughtry is the best idol ever!!!
hey Anthony, 56million votes were cast, n at least 20million or more votes were cast for David A. n you think he cant sell his songs!!! wow u are sure poor in Maths. David Cook is ok but David A. pulls your heart strings n touch your heart... there is not many who can sing this way... Rockers are too many in the market. Get a calculator n check on the ratio of votes... it will help u to understand that where David C or David A comes up with a record, it will sell but who will sell better is the main issue.

I think David A. Will be a great idol, he seems like someone the younger generation can look up too. I have been reading all these post and its terrible how we talk too and about eachother. David Archuleta sings through his nose, you cannot understand what he is saying half the time. I think American Idol is setting him up to win because he is young. He should have been gone a long time ago, especially when he forgot the words to the songs he was singing in the other rounds.

i love David Cook so much but whether he wins or not, he is already a star. I would rather that he lose to Syesha than to David A. whose vocabulary consist mainly of gosh, gee and golly.
Syesha has shown a lot of improvement but should have been voted off quite awhile back. As her voice improves, she tries to put too much theaterics in her songs. Broadway at the most for her.
David Cook has shown us week after week he is up to any challenge. He also has shown a bit of an attitude when the judges give less than thumbs up on his performances.. I don't think he will win because he is not as marketable as david archuletta.
David Archuletta has more experience than most of the idol contestants, so his age should not be an issue.
His voice is pure and never pitchy (as judges are fond of saying). David conects with every song he sings and it shows. He will be our next american idol.

I guess they have some power too. I mean, Christy has been bottom 3 a whole lot until they stepped in. Then they were able to get rid of Carly with Brooke and now they've set their sights on Jason (as their candidate). I just hope that David Cook, David Archuleta, and Syesha have fanbases that could keep them safe from the combination of the Castronauts and the VFTWers. I love all three of them. I'm so putting my money down right now for a Cookie, Archie, and Syesha CD.
although i like VFTW i think it has no effect on who goes home b/c idol already has it all worked out on who they want to win, they messed up last time by thinking that daughtry wouldn't make a good idol so they're making up for it by having cook be the winner this season

I was very happy that Carly got kicked off, but at the same time, I wasnt. Brooke should have left. Pouty faces can only take you so far in this competition.
My favorite would have to be David Cook, BUT I DO NOT WANT HIM TO WIN! Get real people. A close friend of mine auditioned for the show, and before everyone went in to audition you know what the producers told them? "Look, we are not looking for talent, we are looking for good Television". What does that tell you? Whoever wins American Idol will be extremely controlled in what they are able to do in their career, which is why i do not want David C. to win, because he is amazing and deserves a REAL record deal, not record deal held tightly on an American Idol leash.
You're right. I hope he gets 2nd. Cause guaranteed it will come down to David A and C, regardless of the fact that I think David A's talent is very limited, he WILL win. But it will probably be another Idol blunder because David C will skyrocket sails and an awesome record. Much like Daughtry. The thing is, in percentage wise, not that many of the idols who win, go on to do anything HUGE. Only ones, REALLY, still around are Underwood and Clarkson.
