i just can't get elliott off my mind.  tried to vote for taylor for 30 mins straight and that's it for me.  for elliott i'd have dialed until midnight.

You pinheads make me laugh. You write as if you KNOW these 2 people (who's stuck up, who's a brat, etc.). All you know is how they sing and perform, and that's what the competition is about. For me, Kat has a far better voice (can you picture Taylor singing "Rainbow" or anything like it?) but is kind of generic. Taylor is a unique presence on AI, but can we really imagine millions of people just wanting to listen (and only listen) to him? Tough call. I can't help but think they both would've been eliminated by now if up again Bo Bice or Fantasia. Since it's so rare that true talent wins the day anymore, I voted for the more talented of the two: Katharine.

ok,  taylor is now the winner!  all u taylor's fans.  Are you happy now?  it seems to me that taylor has a bigger number of fans than katherine, but katherine is more talented OFCOURSE! 

Not sure why the producers want Taylor to win so badly.  Watching the show last night, it was obvious that Paula was ready to throw Katharine under the bus.  Then Katharine's earpiece doesn't work?....hmmmm.  Then they write perhaps the worst song ever written for her.  The only proof I need is that every year the two finalists have had to sing the SAME SONG so there's no advantage.  As if that wasn't bad enough, now I've read hear that many of you who tried to vote for her got the "Thanks for Voting for Taylor" message.  The fix is in. 

That said, I really think Taylor was going to win anyway.  He doesn't have Katharine's talent by a long shot, but he's unique and people love him.  Win or lose, Katharine McPhee is a star

Taylor is already an Idol.  He inspires.  Kat has a ways to go.  Maybe she will evolve - but she is not consistent and does not really know who she is yet.  Otherwise, she might have been able to find more than one song to fit her.  It was bad enough that she sang the same song two weeks in a row - but she did it the same way.  Taylor is a seasoned professional. 

Kat is a role model - huh?  Barbie Dolls - maybe?  Why would anyone want a role model for children to be a cookie-cutter image?  What is to aspire to?  Kat actually said "it is still a man's world, but keep trying" - or something to that effect.  Well, no, it is not a man's world unless you are a bimbo who relies on your looks to get by.  Look at the number of women in all fields today.  If she were a role model, she would be suggesting that a woman can do anything and to look for one's inner talent - whether it is medicine or singing.  But no, there is nothing inspirational coming out of her mouth.  Just that corny old song - "Over the Damn Rainbow"

Wasn't singing a song previously performed a requirement last night? It has been in years past. Taylor did "Living For The City" and "Levon" before, too. No? It's just unfortunate that Kat's best song came just last week, so all you A.D.D. sufferers can only remember that far back. And I don't think there's any fix. Fox and the AI producers win no matter who wins -- they don't need to go to the trouble.

Last night it was very obvious what Paula and Randy was doing, they have a bet with Simon that Taylor would win, because Simon did not even want him to go Hollywood in the first place.

Second I think what they did to Katherine is horrible. Ryan kept up staging her with Taylor, taking him out to the crowd but pulling Katherine back in the stage. The song that Katherine had to sing was also horrible and was a poorly written song. Randy, Paula and Simon agreed.

Last Night was all about Taylor and was clearly favoritism. Hopefully everyone whomed watched the show and voted last night saw this and turned their votes to Katherine.

Third- I think Taylor was out line with that Soul Patrol bullshit! How many times did he say that. At least Katherine has enough class not to try and grand stand out someone else.

Fourth- Ryan asking the audience who is their favorite? That was totaly out of line, once again grand standing Taylor!

I always enjoyed watching the show, however this seasons was a joke. Sometimes it amazes me right from the very beginning whom they pick and don't pick. They do not always make the right choices, and they pick people with not as much talent verses whom do.

I like Simon he's honest and does not pull any punches, the other two bird brains are a joke. Randy never makes judgement on voice, Paula just needs a job, besides I think she is jealous of Katherine, Paula seems to be a pain in the ass. I would probably punch her out at party too. She probably deserved it.
