Taylor is the man. You all have no idea what you are talking about. Yes Chris should have won, but beside Chris this was all Taylor. He knows how to entertain. Katherine SUCKED!!!! For all of you who say Elliott cannot sing - you need to get a new pair of ears. As far as I am concerned he was the most talented person in the entire competition along side Chris. So honestly...you are probably just saying all of this because you are jealous.

so for someone who looks old and sings old (yet to hear him sing contemporary, cuz he cant "prance around" and get the famous "clapping and cheering" from the audience that way) ... um.. somebody explain to me .. uh... just how/where is he guna fit in the american culture of american idolism? everyting that has brought him to the finale... has "been there done that" all  over it -- which is WHY he has succeeded. he succeeded at striking the nostalgic core htat people already have. the world has enough great entertainers. true artistry is not just "feeling the soul" of music - but also being an original and carving out a "NEW" niche or contributing something worthwhile to the music industry. being an american idol is not about idolizing past idols. capiche?

That's it, I will never watch AI ever again.  And the world that would let a guy like Taylor Hicks win, isn't worth living in.  I think I am going to go up onto the roof of the house and bail off head first onto the concrete.  I can see half-drunk crappy singers in any booze joint in town that sound just like Hicks.  He will go on and sell a couple hundred CD's to a bunch of dumbasses and then will fade away in history.  Kat will go on and have a great career and be a multimillionaire when she is done.  By this time next year, no one will even remember Hicks winning it this year.  He's another Ruben Studdard, who's career will go nowhere.  I was sitting here watching tonight, telling myself, if Hicks wins, I will never watch this show again.  So that's it, screw American Idol.  Love ya, Goodbye.

Well the fact that taylor HICK won just goes to show you that only the south was voting for the second straight year, this just like black people voted a million times the 2nd and 3rd years before is the problem with this show. Idiots vote for nothing but race. Does not matter if you have any talent what so ever. What have any of the last 4 singers done? Who will care in 5 years? What's next the latin thing? By the way when chris was voted off did anyone look at Simon? He was not happy by all these idiots voting chris off, the true idol.
