American Idol has a winning combination of the Good, Bad and the Ugly.  Paula is Good,  Randy is  "bad as he wants to be",  and Simon is known for his ugly comments. 

Unlike the previous years, I really feel Simon lost his perspective on this one.  Simon kept pushing Chris as the potential winner,  I just didn't get it, right from the beginning.  Chris is good but just didn't move me that much.  When Taylor sings, he is the music, and makes the audience feel it, as Randy stated "Taylor is an old soul". 

I don't think the actual votes are fixed, no one that produces American Idol is stupid enough to risk a hit show for anyone. 

<b>WHAT A JOKE....THE HICK HILLBILLY WON!!</b> He didn't win, he just didn't get the lowest number of votes each weeks..... that's it PERIOD! Then he fluked the last few weeks with help from the VFTW crew!! Who ever else voted for him must be DEEF! It could be there is a huge following with Red Necks and Trailer Parks!

I vote for a RE COUNT! Where's Al Gore when you need him?  Anyway Good luck to the 2 BEST Performers..Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry. These two will will make Taylor Hicks look like a joke.  

All I hope is that those of you who are singing the praises
of Taylor Hicks never make into important positions calling for sound judgment.  Taylor
could only sporadically carry a tune. A couple of good performances and many
bad ones.  He cannot dance.  He is fat.  He performs in the
pasture of discarded, mediocre wedding singers.  He had months to kick it up a notch,
and he did nothing to improve himself.  Same fat, gooberish, lacking
rhythm, lacking soul performer that was there on day one.  But as another poster posted, “Even a half-dead
junky should recognise that a FROG farting MOON
RIVER is much more melodious than Taylor on his best day.

I am outraged.  As an industry insider, I am blown away by the producers manipulation of the platform simply for the purpose of dramatic flair.  It is my opinion lines have been crossed and could lead to damaging consequences.  The show is quickly reaching historical ratings in American television.  There is absolutely no reason for the producers or network executives to flirt with trickery or the intelligence of their viewing audience.  In recent weeks, the competition has become second fiddle to the personal lives of the judges and host.  By the way, why are they called judges when they have no "vote"?  The producers should be ashamed of themselves for the behavior of its cast members.  The media attention has shifted to the internal fighting among these less than respectable characters,  They have forgotten or care less if their actions and brutal opinions influence the professional careers of these talented young people  These kids, good or bad performances, deserve respectful comments and NOT public humiliation.  The majority of the American public has no isea what "key" the idols may have missed.  I am sick of their comments about song choice.  At this point in the competition, the fans have bonded with their particular favorite and I am confident voting is based on support regardless of song selection or a bad performance.  If this show wants to prove its integrity then publish or announce the vote numbers.  I am confused as to purpose of making the idols sing Kenny Rogers, 50's and etc.  None of these criterias are fitting for what the fans want.  Don't we want to see the idols singing in their comfort zone and singing song-types associated with the music they soon will be selling?  We would be foolish NOT to believe that reality TV has limited reality but I close with words of advice to the shows' executive team......Mr. Producer and your cast of misfits be careful before you insult our intelligence.  If you guys want to "fix" the system start with your judges!   Get Paula in rehab, teach Randy how to speak like a professional and put Simon on stage for one song to adjust his attitude.  I think America will turn on you as we will soon see whats behind the curtain. 

Thank you for printing what many voters are thinking.  I definitely think there is some behind the scenes manipulating of the votes.  I believe Paris was the bottom vote-getter last week, yet Kellie went home.  If Paris doesn't go home this week, I will know for sure the votes were manipulated.  I am outraged that Taylor was forced to change his song that he had been working on.  They should have told him from the first that he couldn't sing that one.  I expected Taylor to sing something like "Try a Little Tenderness" or "When a Man Loves a Woman."  They never said the contestants had to sing a Andrea Bocelli song.  Simon's comments to Taylor are rude.  Taylor is the contestant Simon should be apologizing to.  Taylor's fans love his crazy style and are entertained by it.  Polls showed Taylor in first place last week, yet on the show he was in the bottom four.  The polls once again show taylor in first place this week.  I'm curious as to how he will be placed on tonight's show.  I agree that the popularity of American Idol may begin to decline if some changes are not made.

Yes, my darlings.  It's me again.  I do so agree with the comments about Miss Hicks not going to amount to dittily squibbish.  She's not attractive to look at and my darlings I do love to look at a Haaaawt May-yan (Man).  Miss Hicks falls so short of looking Hawwwt!!! What is up with that flock of poker straight gray hair?  My my someone do tell her about Miss Clarol.  Miss HICKS looks like the type that if one needed to produce DNA all they would have to do is scrap her underware.  Large people don't wipe correctly.  I heard rumor that Miss Hicks even smelled and was told she needed to take a shower and make sure she washed her butt.  Mind you my darlings this was rumored and I don't know it to be fact.  Anyways, I'm sure Miss Hicks will not have a good career.  I mean why would she?
