Taylor Hicks needs to go.  His singing is just OK and his dancing every night is simply hideous.  PLEASE vote this self-proclaimed legend off.  His singing needs to be confined to bars only, where anything goes. I personally think that he has some mental problems. Too old to mold into an idol anyway. 

To Mudshark 1369:  How can you possibly say the producers skewed the vote to keep minority viewers?  If that were the case Gideon and Mandisa would both still be on the show!  Mandisa was the best pure singer out of all these people.  Who else could take on Aretha?  And while I like Chris and Elliott, Gideon gave me chills.  Kevin, Bucky and Ace all should've been gone way before him.

Oh.. and since obviously your word is god, we should simply take it to heart and agree instantaneously? *makes mental note*

Whoever the genius is who claims that Elliot has no talent is obviously one of the problems with this type of show. Elliot actually has the best set of pipes-at least on the male side. Everybody can have their tastes and not like the type of music that best fits a person's voice, but-please-to say Elliot has no talent just proves that there are so many people out there that go on looks alone and not on vocal ability. He may not be the best showman in the world-but alot of that goes back to his looks-if he looked like Ace he would be King of the World.To you who wrote about Elliot, let me guess-you loved Ace the Face. Am I right ? That guy didn't even belong in the competition when it came down to the Final 24, much less how far he did get. He did it on looks alone and just a small bit of ability. He could usually carry a tune-but that's about it.

Come on people, show some depth here-it's not a Beauty Pageant-it's a singing competition.

I agree with the comment that the show is fixed. In looking at the vote totals as they were being compiled, Paris had the lowest total by far. She had consistantly been in the bottom three, and she performed poorly this week. I believe the producers skewered the vote totals to keep the minority viewers. Kellie performed poorly also, but to go from first in votes to last is too big of a drop to believe in one week. I agree it should come down to Katherine and Chris, although Elliott isn't that bad, he's just boring to watch. 

You should all watch Nashville Star next week, it's on at 10:00pm on the USA network after Idol Tuesday night. Two of their final three contestants are far better than any of the Idol finalists!

Katherine has got the best voice in the competition. But there are others who have more personality. And it's the whole package that wins this competition.

Also, Katherine should wear a bra once in a while. This isn't that kind of show.

FOR ME, "Idol's" reputation is now tarnished beyond repair. The best and most talented is gone...Chris Daughtry...and....lack luster singers remain. It is as if there is no honor or honesty anymore. Does anybody know Jesus anymore or what?

I don't think American Idol will have any fans left after Chris was sent home tonight; I personally couldn't get through to vote for him last night because the lines were busy.  I do think Taylor is a lot of fun.  But, Chris has the best voice in the competition.  He could remake the Elvis catalog right now and sell a million of them!  I hope Chris has bigger and better things ahead of him.  I'm done with the show too.  The viewers have been cheated.  Chris should have been in the finals!!

Well, I'm done with this show. Every season one of the most talented people gets voted off before the finals. I was voting for Chris from the begining and to have him voted off before those two dorks, Smelliot and Trailer is just too much. America, you suck and you couldn't spot talent if it took a dump on your face. Chris will sell more records than whichever of those two turds wins. First George Bush and now this. America should have it's voting privilleges taken away.

The look on Simon's face was priceless. He looked just as shocked and just as devistated as Paula, Randy and the rest of us.I feel like an idiot for believing in the show.

The show is fixed, Chris should have never been voted off, he was the best by far. You could tell by the look on Chris' and Simon's face that they voted the wrong one off.  I will not watch the show anymore. They say that America votes well yeah ok we don't see the votes so how do we know that it is not fixed? I used to love American Idol but now I think it sucks!!!!!

wow.. i am absolutely blown away here. i did not expect this. at all. Elliot is my favorite... but honestly, as far as i understand, he and Taylor arent as popular as Chris and Katharine. and i was expecting it to be him or Taylor to go. maybe Katharine becuz she didnt do so well Tuesday night. but... Chris? wow. maybe it's rigged, maybe ppl dont vote cuz they think they dont need to... but whatever the case is.. someone insanely popular always leaves the show before the finals. every season. it never fails. therez deff something to be said about that.

i didnt get to see the results show tonight, which i'm mad about. cuz my wonderful family decided not to wake me up like i asked them to. anywaiiz, i checked on here to see the results.. my mouth fell open. itz insane.

as for the Elliot comment.. seriously, if he didnt have talent, he wouldnt be in the top 3. even if it is rigged, theyre not gonna pick an untalented person. honestly, grow up man. i hate katharine with an undying passion, but i'm not gonna deny she's talented. letz be real here.

I am also shocked beyond belief that Chris was the one to go....What a fabulous talent he is.  And I am certain he will have a record contract soon.

But then I ALSO was shocked to see Mandisa go a few weeks ago -- what a gorgeous voice she had!  Iinsofar as the quality of their voices, Lisa & Paris were also deserving.  At this point in the competition, all the players have tremendous talent.  And it would have hurt to see any of them go....actually.

However, after last year, when Bo Bice lost to Carrie -- I guess I learned that sometimes it isn't who has the best voice or best performance.  Something else takes over - and the American Idol voters invest in their favorite for a variety of reasons.  Why Chris didn't get enough votes?  I wish I knew -- he should not have been the low man.

I believe American Idol lost a lot of viewers due to this. Chris is by far the best that Idol has ever seen. Definitely is a fixed show. Every poll I have checked had Chris at the top and definitely would've sent Katherine home before chris. I look forward to seeing more of Chris. All my love to Chris.   

McPhee does something that really bothers me.  She is singing a serious love song, supposedly from the heart.. lyrics like "Wise men say....only fools rush in.......Shall I stay, would it be a sin ?....take my hand, take my whole life too .....for I can't help falling in love with you ...you know a serious love song.

So what does she do?  She smiles through the whole song.  And for every new camera shot she turns and flashes a bigger smile that seems to say, "look at me and how great I am" 

Can't she ever get in the moment and sell the song and forget about selling herself?  Shallow Kat's voice and looks are good enough to win it, if she can just stop being so plastic.

I don't like Chris's heavy metal streak, but he knew how to do sell a song.  He was so superior everyone thought he was a lock and voted for Elliot out of sympathy.  I know my wife said she was going to, but we never vote.  Elliot's much better if you close your eyes and just listen.  The way he puckers his lips like a fish really bothers me.  He is a nice fellow, but unmarketable, in my opinion.

Taylor can sell a song too if he isn't being too goofy... but give me a break, the real talent and marketable properties are out of the competition.

I predict that the finals are ho hum and the judges have the following comments in the finals. 

1. It was just so, so.  It didn't do it for me, dogg.  

2.  You know I have always loved your singing.  Burp. 

3. I have to say it was just kareoke for me with a kapital c.

If you were all so concerned about Chris then why didn't you vote? I do not think it was fixed. I just think Chris's fans did not bother to vote.  Getting voted off is not so bad, it's a sure ticket to a million dollar record. There are lots of rock goups looking for a lead singer like Chris.

I think this is a no-brainer this year. It's going to be Taylor with Katherine second.  I love both of them, and would love to see them sing a duet together.

Elliot is good, but needs an overhauling. He is just not idol material. But, he does have a beautiful voice. He sang his heart out last night.

I am so upset about America's voting skills. Obviously people were a little sleepy the other night! Chris is the best thing to happen to AMERICAN Idol. I agree with melissa929, Chris was the only reason i was watching that show! America i can't believe you voted off Chris Daughtry!!! I also agree with "idol sucks", America should lose there voting privledges!!! Chris will be the most famous anyways!!! Hopefully he comes out with a CD with his band!

I can't belive Chris was voted off!!! I believe that the phone lines were to blame, as everyone I spoke with who tried to vote for Chris had the same problem I had trying to get through. All busy lines for Chris!!!How can america vote for chris if you can't get through for 2 hours!!! I have watched every year and loved the show,but I too am so disapointed in the system used for the vote that I will not be watching the completion of the show this year and maybe not again!

If there were something wrong with the telephone lines, then the producers should have left voting for the entire week.

I got right through for Katherine, but had a 1/2 hour wait for Taylor. But 2 hours seems strange for Chris.

Taylor hit a trifecta last night. Three out of three.

The trouble is he and Katherine are so different.

But it was Katherine's "Over the Rainbow" that captured the audience and mesmerized it.

Simon picked a good one for her. She delivered it better than Judy Garland if that is possible.

She has a great broadway career ahead for her.

Elliot had a off night, but can he afford that now?

I have really enjoyed the show this year! I think it has been a tough competition though. Up until recently there was not any contestant that was really fabulous....star quality, in my eyes. I have heard them all sing while not watching the tv. It is amazing the difference it makes,  like someone mentioned earlier, when the visuals are taken away. You can really here there voices. It seems to me that now that it is down to the wire no one can afford to have an off song. It must be alot of pressure for them...IMAGINE, how much pressure they are under. Here are my thoughts on what is happening now. Katherine knows that she is screwed if she does not show her potential. She does have the best vocals but has to get it together to win this competition. Elliot is true, genuine and a really great guy. He has a good voice and spirit. Taylor is fun and the most relaxed singer. I like him, but he does not have a great voice. The only singer that has an amazing voice to me is Kat. If she can get it together, which she will, I believe she will win. Dispite her vocals, she looks great and nothings wrong with that. Elliot has shown great improvement over the last few weeks and I think he could be the winner if Kat does not get it together. I believe that Taylor is the next to go...even though I do like him. Here is my line up: Taylor will be out and between Elliot and Katherine...I believe Kat will win. She stole the show by singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow...she need that badly! Just my opinion!

I can't believe that Mcphee who SUCKS by the way and can't sing worth a damn is still around! Seriously though turn up your speakers real loud and listen to her performances and compare them to Elliot's or anyones elses, SHE'S TERRIBLE! I think that the voting is rigged and that FOX kept Mcphee for ratings and so the Feminists and other girlsw don't get mad that there would be two guys left on the show. All I know is that I will not be watching the Finale and if Mcphee is the next American Idol I will no longer be watching anymore seasons.
