So help me out here America, I'm confused. I know Bucky Covington possibly had his best week yet on American Idol but come one. Putting Katharine McPhee into the bottom three instead? What happened? Seriously?
I wonder whether the poor performances of the first few contestants caused people to flick over to catch Scrubs on NBC and miss the better performers at the end of the show.
If that is the case then that would explain why Katharine managed to get the third lowest number of votes this week to place her in the position of wondering if her time was up. The response across the internet at her inclusion in the bottom three was fairly close to mine. How the.. what the...??!
And then, to have Ace Young be sent back to the bleachers? No offense to Ace's fans but seriously, his performance last night really wasn't his best and fell a long way short of Katharine McPhee's version of 
The Voice Within.
Of course, with Katharine being a hot favourite it would be in the producers best interests to have her in the bottom three. She's not going to get eliminated, but boy will she get the hackles up of her fans.
More than anything, it should incite a voting frenzy next week.
Interestingly enough, DialIdol.com had Katharine McPhee tipped to be the one leaving.
In your blog you stated "but boy will she get the heckles up of her fans." The word you wanted to use is not 'heckles', but 'hackles'. It means "a feeling of anger". And 'dander' is a synonym.
I used to correct my wife's grammer, but she gets so pissed off that I've had to find another outlet for my obsession to correct others grammer. And you are the one today. Take care and no hard feelings.
BTW, I agree with you Katherine McPhee should not have been in the bottom two. She may be the best singer on the show this season.
Also, has there ever been discussions of doing an American Idols All-Star show with past non-winners vying for a lesser title. I think there were many interesting characters that we don't hear about that could make good TV. Just my two cents.

Katherine didn't deserve to be in the bottom three, although she turned in her weakest performance to date. Kellie should go. She's a waste of the 2 minutes of airtime. I think they should fix the voting system and limit one vote per voter. coz 1 voter can vote thousands of times for a non-deserving finalist, thus keeping the likes of bucky or kellie, safe.
I have liked every Katherine performance but this week's was painful. If you only look at that weeks performance, I have no problem with Katherine being in the bottom 3. It is just sad that Bucky is still around. He should not have even made the top 12 (Gedeon, Sway and Patrick are better singers than Bucky and Kevin). Bucky did the best song selection of the night and he was still not any better than any of the others.
