Hope you read this. We here in Connecticut are all very proud of you. You have amazing talent, an amazing "old soul" voice and have done so well in such a difficult and confusing environment. The judges just do not get what you are about but the voters do!, You made it to the final 12. Go out there, be confident and show them what you can do. You are the real dark horse in this race. Oh, and by the way, have fun!

Sorry katie but lilly should of stayed and you should of went home. she is older and knows herself more than you do. you are still so young and yes you are talented but your not ready yet.

Mr. Jonh Freire you are very very right about Katy Stevens she young but with an amazing old soul voice . If people Google it and goes to the amazing portuguese or i say better Portuguese Diva Amalia Rodrigues then they will understand from which culture of singers she got her beautiful voice . Then Judges start to do some reserch about and then do some make sense coments to the girl. The problem is they don´t know what is "FADO" . I just say Mr. Freire you are 1000% rigth and Please people vote for Katy Because she has a lot to show to people and she deserves to be in the top 12 100% . These judges have only one
These judges have only one thing in mind. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. They keep saying " be an artist" but all they really mean is be a "commercial success". That's a long way from being an artist. They keep telling Katie to "sing younger" and when she does it's not young enough. Maybe she should sing something from back in kindergarden that will please them. They have no idea of the cultural, musical background that she comes from. We hear about american "soul" music as if that's only place soul came from. You want heart breaking soul music listen to Portugese "Fado" if you want to feel your soul bleeding. That's part of where she comes from. Never heard of "Fado"? Goggle it, but only if you've got a real soul and can bear it. Katie is young but she has an old soul (kind of reminds me of Eda James in a way). Maybe the judges should get a little educated and realize that age has nothing to do with talent, stage precence and being a real artist. Go Katie!
