In defense to both of them:
Yes, they each have a seperate style.
David Archuleta is a better SINGER.
David Cook is a better PERFORMER.
Period. But where they lack, they make up for otherwise.
Both deserve to win, both will go far.
You're telling me David Archuleta hasn't been able to sing an upbeat song? Tell me, what was the song he sang in the Top 24? Shop Around. If you ask me, that's pretty fast. Sweet Caroline and America were also pretty fast. He sings mainly MIDDLE PACED songs which is fine.
You're telling me David Cook is only a rocker? He proved his versatility with Music of the Night. There, he kept it simple, and sang, and it sounded great.

It comes down to the fact that they are BOTH incredibly talented, and bashing one or the other will not help. At all.
They'll both succeed no matter who wins, so now it's just a title they're competing for.
So chill.

Okay I'd just like to start by saying....David Archuleta is probably going to win American Idol. Now with that being said, Season 7 will be another disappointment of a year where the wrong person will Win. (Just like EVERY other year) David Archuleta is going to get ripped apart in the music business, sad. Well thats my OPINION.

dunk... you're an idiot. Honestly.. what are you listening to? David A. has never done ANYTHING original. He has messed up, or forgot words to a song. He has proven he can't sing an upbeat song. He has been and is nothing more than a decent cover artist. I gaurantee, and if there was a way I would put alot of money on it, that if David A wins, he will never be more successful than David Cook. David Cook really is not that original? Are you kidding me? He hit the nail right on the head tonight with his comment to Simon after his last song... and I only wish he could have really said what he wanted... He thought the point of the show was to show progression and get better, not sing a song he had already sang. If that was the case, to be as predictable as David A... David C should have sang Billie Jean over and over (and yes I know that wasnt original, but at least it was different). YOu people who like David A should have your ears removed.... honestly

I HAVE A TERRIBLE PROBLEM!!!
The fact that all the judges seem to be unanomous on the opinion that David Archuleta is the best of the two on tonites competition or any other one for that fact. I do not get the big "TO DO" with this kid. He is mediocre at best.
David Cook on the other hand is more talented by far. He is original, he has amazing vocals and Great stage presence.
I will be completely disappointed and will probably boycott American Idol if ARCHIE wins.....lol. J/K but you get the point. I think its time for American Idol to have a ROCKER as a winner....not a 100 lb. half talented kid just because tweens think he's cute................................AND MY I JUST ADD........CARLY SMITHSON SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN VOTED OFF!!!!
