I guess they have some power too. I mean, Christy has been bottom 3 a whole lot until they stepped in. Then they were able to get rid of Carly with Brooke and now they've set their sights on Jason (as their candidate). I just hope that David Cook, David Archuleta, and Syesha have fanbases that could keep them safe from the combination of the Castronauts and the VFTWers. I love all three of them. I'm so putting my money down right now for a Cookie, Archie, and Syesha CD.
although i like VFTW i think it has no effect on who goes home b/c idol already has it all worked out on who they want to win, they messed up last time by thinking that daughtry wouldn't make a good idol so they're making up for it by having cook be the winner this season

I was very happy that Carly got kicked off, but at the same time, I wasnt. Brooke should have left. Pouty faces can only take you so far in this competition.
My favorite would have to be David Cook, BUT I DO NOT WANT HIM TO WIN! Get real people. A close friend of mine auditioned for the show, and before everyone went in to audition you know what the producers told them? "Look, we are not looking for talent, we are looking for good Television". What does that tell you? Whoever wins American Idol will be extremely controlled in what they are able to do in their career, which is why i do not want David C. to win, because he is amazing and deserves a REAL record deal, not record deal held tightly on an American Idol leash.
You're right. I hope he gets 2nd. Cause guaranteed it will come down to David A and C, regardless of the fact that I think David A's talent is very limited, he WILL win. But it will probably be another Idol blunder because David C will skyrocket sails and an awesome record. Much like Daughtry. The thing is, in percentage wise, not that many of the idols who win, go on to do anything HUGE. Only ones, REALLY, still around are Underwood and Clarkson.

All I have to say about that mic with the tats is YUCK!. I will not listen to her when those tats are showing. I tried last night but you could still see some of the tat sticking out the bottom of her sleeve.
I find tats like that on women the most disgusting thing ever. I won't watch her, I won't listen to her and I would never vote for her. Go back to Mic-land and perform there. This isn't Harley Fest Idol. It's not even Irish-import fest Idol. It's AMERICAN IDOL. She makes me sick everytime I see those tattoos. I'm sick to my stomach thinking about it right now. i love the tats and it's about time a real modern person gets some stage time on AI. She can sing her butt off. There's nothing wrong with tattoos, it's your personal preference. but most people these days have them so get used to it. they tasteful and gorgeous on her!

I know this is a blog, and that you are entitled to your opinions, but just think for a little bit... we are in a time of different races and even sexes running for US presidency, issues like gay marriage and stem research up in the mainstream, global warming, even WAR... and you have a PROBLEM with tattoos on a woman... on a singer... I couldn't have said it better. I;m not Carly's fan either, but she has great voice and she's a very pretty girl. I don;t like tattoo cause it turn me off, but i watch her and judge her base on her performance and talent. I thought this was a singing competition...was I not in the loop?
Here's the deal...ridiculous tats like that say "scum bag dirt bag". Look at her freak show for a husband. Mike Tyson has a tat on his face and he's a freak. Her husband has a tat on his face. FREAK. I don't care if she works at a tattoo parlor or not. The fact of the matter is her tattoo is not Idol material. Something small and petite is fine. Anywhere but on her arm. Apart from david amazingly excellent! singing cook, the whole show was completely!! boring and uneventful without Michael johns in it, just like carly said last night ....you dopey americans wouldn't know talent if it jumped up an bit you's on the arse! lol ....well David is without doubt the best an only real talent left in the show after Michael johns wrongly got voted off! Jason is the first person I have ever made an effort to vote for on AI. He has REAL talent . He is different then the "same old thing." He sells the most on itunes.

No you are not "all little girls", but I would have to agree that most of the people that are voting for him are female and a very young demographic. Having said that… there is nothing wrong with having a younger following, in fact it's most likely whats kept him where he is for as long as he has been here.
Again, Ben Harper, Jack johnson sound, it's "real" it's warm like a fuzzy pair of slippers! Heck Harper did Curious George's little ballad and I might have even tapped my toes along with the catchy beat… Having said that… he's not Jack Johnson nor Ben Harper doing acoustic with pearl jam and he is overshadowed vocally by everyone on the show right now.
He's 'artsy' and individualistic and I kinda think he's cool… but he's just outclassed.

I hope vote4theworst doesn't throw a wrench in the works. I have no idea. I just know that I want David Archuleta to win SO badly it isn't funny. The kid is insanely talented, is so winsome and cute.
I've made CDs of David's stuff off of iTunes and other old songs that I found. I just love them. I play them all the time at home and in the car. I'm driving my teenaged son crazy! (Oh, well. Turnabout is fair play. He's given me way more grief than I've given him.)
David Archuleta deserves to win in a BIG way. I think Paula is right--he'll be a Superstar. The kid is just beginning. You wait. He's gonna have an incredibly successful career. I love him and so do millions of others! He's gonna be HUGE!

No he didn't, he has given credit where credit was due multiple times! Even when Seacrest was introducing David Cook before he did Billy Jean (which was sick!) he said "With Chris Cornell's version of Billy Jean, here is David Cook."... and if you don't believe my quotes here he is doing a live interview stating and giving credit for the arrangements he has been choosing.
