i could have accepted david cooks winning if he did not cry. when he cried, for me, it was like getting sympathy from the viewers.
i like david archuleta but i accepted the fact that david cook is good too so if he wins it will be just ok. but now i was thinking that maybe he won because of the sympathy votes. whenever a contestant cried after they were being judge by the judges they will stay for another week. i don't know. it just doesn't feel right.

Both Davids were awesome and if Archuleta was competing against some of the past winners he would have won hands down.
When it comes to voice Archuleta is the only one who can really sing and on this count should have won. But the American public always goes for the same thing- good looks and that is a big part of why Cook won. Also his win is not that great over Archuleta when you factor in the number of voters which I heard was about 96 million.
Archuleta is only 17 and I predict that by the time he is 20 he will be a huge success and not just for the short term.

David cook, is a profile of an all around musician. Plays guitar quite well, and has actually written his songs, sings well. makes his own arrangement. He looks scruffy, but goes well with who he is, and that is how he sells himself. And it worked. Have to admit he is humble... but so did David A. Both were so good, but its like comparing an apple to an orange and both were just delicious. And to fans who take things personal it ruins their day, that is too bad.

It doesnt matter what any of us thinks. DC has a path destined for him, when one has tried all in their power to do the very best they can, its no longer in their hands, nor us, its God's will and nothing can stop that.
