Crystal, you are simply wonderful! I loved your voice and song tonight, it was perfect and probably summed up many years of hopes and dreams - it touched me deeply. My concern? Staying your self under the immense pressure to be molded into what "music marketing mongers" want you to be after you win Idol. However, that is tempered with the hope that you are comfortable with who you are, where you've and where you want to be.
Great performance, great look (although I do prefer the more natural you) and passion. I've read and heard how people are comparing you to this person or that person ... but I believe in a few years, people will be comparing other "wanna be's" to you! You are wonderful, simply wonderful.

Is it just me, or... does it seem like people are voting for Crystal just because she's a mom? Sure, she's good enough to get in the top 24. But she didn't have a phenomenal performance. As a matter of fact, it flat-out sucked. But, as I'm looking at the most popular women, 28% of people are rooting for Crystal to win American Idol. 28%? Why? Are you crazy?

Flat-out sucked? Either you are a 13 year old who is only interested in modern "Taylor Swift" type country or you are partially deaf. Not only is she the best singer. She seems to be the second most talented instrumentalist as well. Casey clearly takes that with his blues guitar. If anyone besides her wins it isn't being judged on talent.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even when it sucks! Idol is a talent show and very competitive, Crystal has shown both her talents and competitiveness, but primarily as it pertains to herself, not others.
But I agree with you Jessie, if anyone but Crystal wins this talent competitiion, it is either because she backs out (for what ever reason), completely destroys a song (which is not going to happen), forgets the lyrics (as if!) or the competition is rigged ... OR, dare I say it, the voting gets flooded by more types like Mr. "flat-out sucked" who wouldn't know talent if it bit them on the butt.

Frankly, I don't care if she is a mom or not. In fact, it can get alittle annoying with the kid stuff...but I don't care - she has the "it" people talk about...
Crystal blow the rest of the girls away. I like her because she is truly a singer - songwriter with years of experience. I do think it is unfair to the other wanna-bees - Crystal is the real deal and she out-classes all of them in maintaining pitch (highs and lows), key and sheer vocal power.
Her weekness is that she may not be "pop" enough for Idol crowd - Americana Rock can take her only so far - but she is a pleasure to behold - an Artist's Artist...
Her strength is that it doesn't matter if she wins or not at this point. Her life will change anyway - she already "made it" - even if she doesn't know it yet. As soon as she is done with Idol, someone will grab her to press a CD...She already has enough original material to fill a CD...she is already on her way...with or without Idol...

So true. I honestly think Crystal is the first contestant that has caused people to be impatient for the show to end so that they can buy her music. I know I am, I can't wait to hear her music - not the corny themed stuff that AI makes the contestants do.
She is the kind of musician that other musicians become fans of and that is a real testament to her talent.

I can't say that I know Crystal, But what I do know is the Young Lady has more than what I can say for most, She has Talent and it comes from nothing more than the Deepest soul within her. She is a natural!! She sings from the heart, Reguardless of what anyone thinks, says or does, She has my purest respect and support. Crystal I wish you all the best in the world and I hope you carry on no matter what........ Keep it real and true!!
