First off I want to say that I don’t miss much, and that I like Paula Abdul. She strikes me to be a sweet person. Anyway, Wednesday night the 20th I was watching Criminal Minds, when I heard a voice that was coming from another room, it sounded like Connie Francis singing. So I switched the channel looking for who I thought was Connie Francis. But, instead I landed on the American Idol show, and the woman who was singing wasn’t Connie Francis, but a woman by the name of Amy Davis.
I was blown away with her voice, and her rendition of “Where The Boys Are”. After she finished singing I was appalled by Judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and the ass Simon Cowell. They told her that her singing was like bath water. Simon Cowell stated that Amy Davis was supposed to sing a “50’s” song, but instead she sang a country song by Patsy Cline.
Neither Randy Jackson, nor Paula Abdul corrected Simon Cowell on what type of song “Where The Boys Are” was. This led me to believe that these three need to inhale some smelling salts, and wake up. Randy Jackson is “supposed” to be a recording artist; Paula Abdul took her dancing training from Gene Kelly, and sold many records, asshole Simon Cowell who can’t carry a tune claims he knows music.
Well, guess what if they know music, then they all SHOULD have known that Patsy Cline NEVER sang “Where The Boys Are”; Connie Francis did. Also, “Where The Boys Are” is not a country song; it’s a 50’s song. WHERE THE BOYS ARE is also the title song to the movie “WHERE THE BOYS ARE”, which not only starred Connie Francis, but Dolores Hart, George Hamilton, Yvette Mimieux, Jim Hutton, and Paula Prentiss. I know because I seen the movie five times.
I don’t sing, I can’t carry a tune, but I do know a wonderful voice when I here it. What makes me even angrier is that Amy Harris got voted off American Idol. After watching Wednesday night, I noticed that some of the contestants couldn’t carry a tune; so someone’s tone deaf.
So too Randy, Paula, and asshole TAKE THE WAX OUT OF YOUR EARS.
