Face it; Melinda was too old. Jordin had the youth vote; Blake had the female vote and with those demographics she never had a chance; no matter how damn good she was and is; and Melinda deserved to win and like everybody; we were stunned that she was voted off. What bothers us the most is; no one knows exactly how the voting works; who has the final say and whether in fact producers can rig or change the results. We will be looking for her 1st CD and look forward to hearing her in the future. We have nothing against Jordin and Blake; congratulations to them both and Jordin for winning; but this was a difficult pill for our household to swallow. Great pipes and a humble personality and a wonderful smile; we wish Melinda well, as do we wish all the finalists who will be touring this summer.
