Well for all of you that don't know anything about music, which is obviously all of you, as a 9 year musician I know true musicianship and Blake is the only person that has it at the moment. He is well rounded and knows music better then the ones left. Singing is one thing, a lot of people can sing, but a lot of people do not understand music or music theory. The fact that he brought his computer with him that has recording programs and such on it, shows a real hard working dedicated musician. He is someone that probably lives, eats, breaths music. I'm not doubting that the other girls do not have dedication but true dedication lies in knowledge and the want to continue to learn not just one thing about music, but everything about it. Musical instruments, music theory, the art of recording, editing, mixing, mastering. Even if Blake does not win, he can at least walk away knowing that he was truly the most original artist that has graced the show. Maybe he didn't have a good night but they all have bad nights. Lakisha on the other hand was an untrained, copycat, unoriginal singer and she should have been voted off. Originality gets you a lot further then being able to sing and sound like everyone else. Music is about putting yourself out there and taking risks to stand out from the crowd, not about playing it safe and trying to just appeal to the norm..that can only get you so far. As far as all the 14 year old girls voting for Blake, I'm sure they are all voting for Jordin, why? because if Jordin was an American Idol winner, her audience would range from the ages of 14 to 18..not a very good audience to appeal to, just ask Britney Spears. Blake and Melinda, most likely have a much wider range of audience, ranging from ages 14 to 35. That is the artist the record companies want to sign, there audience is not going anywhere for a long time.
