I like Brooke's voice and many of her performance and I certainly feel that justice has not been done with her being voted out.
As Kat 5309 says, she shouldn't be penalised simply because she's trying to spread goodness rather the so called dark side. ya, sure everybody has a dark side but does it do any good to show the whole world your dark side and further influence the next generation into a misconception that dark is cool and sexy and what people like? No. It will further promote hatred, not something we need now!
And as much as I like watching American Idol and all the superb performance by some of the greatest talents in the world, I think the voting system doesn't do justice to the real talents in the show. However, this is not really a talent competition after all but rather, it is an idol competition of who has a bigger fan base.

you are right Jersey_Rob... i also thought Brooke look like Jane Seymoure on the first time i saw her on AI!

about Brooke on AI, i think she deserves to be on top 2 or 3, but she's been voted off by people who thinks that being not married/single is a big factor for American Idol... well, she'll have a good singing career even not make it on AI & i'm sure of that coz she has a good voice & very talented!!!

Doris, I think she looks a little like Jane Seymore. The industrry needs a role model like. Keep it up Brooke

I got a random phone call tonight around 10:15 PM pacific time from someone claiming to be Brook White, the American Idol contestant. She said she is calling people from her town to try to raise a buzz about her in order to battle rumors that she may be voted off this next week. If it was a prank, it was a really good prank. I am a 43 year old man who doesn't even know that many people, so it wouldn't have been someone I know who pranked me. It would have had to be a random call. BUT, it did REALLY sound like her, and she does kinda have that crazy look in her eye that might make her start randomly calling people in order to increase votes. Who knows.

Best Idol contestant ever.

Ramiele...Pacquiao of American Idol...I'm Jewish but the whole family, and lots of associates, has been the number one fan of your's since day one. Everybody is good but you are the most talented, has the most recording-star potential. Your fan base is growing rapidly in a daily basis.

Way to go Ramiele...you're safe by a wide margin....you and David A.

Brooke made the comment she went home on the weekend to Nova Scotia, is this home?? I think she is great and i hope she is the winner!!

I don't buy the pure act either. I think that I remember that she hadn't see an R rated movie. Well, she is singing some R rated feelings. So get over the innocence lady. If you are singin' about love, embrace the fact that you are OVER 17! It's kind of like showing up in an evening dress at the grocery store and claiming that you are just there to buy chicken noodle soup. I proudly buy my hot sauce! Wear that dress girl!

Brooke White might be the first Idol contestant ever who will be defeated by the sensitivity, maturity, and intelligence of her performances. She could start playing the Cafe Carlyle in New York where the late Booby Short played and fill it for the same number of years.

Loved Brooke this week. I love that unique soft and sultry voice she has. Haven't heard a sound like that on Idol yet. Here's a replay of performance of "You're So Vain".

I've gotta agree with Simon....I loved it, too!

tc (not verified) Thu, 2008-02-28 00:44

somehow i don't beleive the fact that she is as pure as she claims to be... this makes it very hard for me to like her though she sings quite well...
i hope she comes to the darker side... everyone has one, and its quite a lie to think otherwise.

Kat 5309 (not verified) Thu, 2008-04-24 10:07

Just because no one is perfect doesn't mean that everyone has a darker side. And even if you wanted to make that conclusion, that doesn't mean that people should display their darker side. Isn't the point of life for us to try to be as good and loving as you can? Shouldn't we be trying to spread purity, goodness and love instead of hate, raw sexuality and violence? How is this world supposed to get any less selfish, vein and hateful if there are only artists who display their darker side and no artists who display their more virtuous side?

I don't understand your opinion at all.

CatMacPhee (not verified) Wed, 2008-04-30 08:59

I think a celebrity can promote/display a positive image without trying to potray themselves as whitewashed 'idols'. She seems to think she's a pure little kid (atleast it seems that way when one has to keep seeing her pouting and crying).

She NEEDS to grow up. Syeesha beats her anyday, without having to resort to cliched ideas and with a powerful voice.
