It's the episode I look forward to the least. It's Queen night. Brian May and Roger Taylor are mentoring everyone this week.
Ryan Seacrest is apparently not feeling too well so will we see him run for a bucket during tonight's show?
Who is really going to ruin a classic song tonight? Here's how it went down.
Opening tonight's show is a group performance with both Brian and Roger of a medley of Queen's songs. Fat Bottom Girls, Another One Bites the Dust, We Will Rock You and We are The Champions.
Just a reminder: There are two voting numbers tonight!
Tonight, the constestants will again sing 2 songs. One of their own choice, and one of Queen's.
Song choice: Bohemian Rhapsody
My thoughts: I'm pretty sure I say this every year but I hate this song. Thankfully Jessica is still a pleasure to listen to. Can anyone really believe she is only 16?
Steven: I think Freddy Mercury would have been proud to hear that. Rock isn't your forte but that was good.
Jennifer: You sounded beautiful singing the song. All in all a really great performance
Randy: You used great restraint in that and used no runs. You're so unbelievably talented. When you sing rock though, channel some Tina Turner.
Song choice: The Show Must Go On
My thoughts: I really liked the start of this but the chorus just didn't work for me. There were a couple of nice moments when she didn't try to do runs and just sang the note. A really nice end though.
Steven: That was enhanced over the top. That was fabulous
Jennifer: I definitely got goosies from that. It was powerful to feel.
Randy: That was incredible. I believe you. This girl's gotta have it. That was phenomenal.
Song choice: Crazy Little Thing Called Love
My thoughts: Again, wow. Joshua is simply sensational as a singer and a performer.
Randy: That was unbelievable. You are so ready. Every time you come up you remind me of Sam Cooke. I love it. Amazing.
Jennifer: I love all the singers in the competition but you are my favorite part of the show. I know I'm going to get an inspired performance.
Steven: You have such a classic style that sounds like nobody else.
Song choice: I Want It All
My thoughts: That was pretty weak. If Joshua was inspiring, that was uninspiring.
Steven: You've found your stride. You sang that like the classic song that it is
Jennifer: The whole thing came together for you this week
Randy: What a night so far, who would have thunk it. That was unbelievable. To me, that was one of your best performances to date.
Song choice: Fat Bottom Girls
My thoughts: That was horrible. I honestly don't see what people like about him.
Steven: I love watching you sing and run out of breath. Great choice of song
Jennifer: I feel like you give us a different flavor every week.
Randy: I liked it but I wasn't jumping up and down loving it.
Song choice: Save Me
My thoughts: That was pitchy in places and a little bland compared to the rest of the Queen songs.
Steven: I thought you did a really great job of it.
Jennifer: I felt you get emotional in the middle of the song. You're always going to sound good. Just be up there having a good time.
Randy: I think it was a good performance. You don't need to pull back on the song though. You need to have a moment and that song didn't have that for you.
I give round one to Joshua. Round two is the contestant's choice.
Song choice: Dance With My Father
My thoughts: If the final is not between Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet then there is something seriously wrong.
Jennifer: That may have been the best I've ever heard that song sung.
Steven: I don't think you could sing a song bad.
Randy: You are truly amazing to me. You're so natural with where you go with the melody.
Song choice: Tattoos on this Town
My thoughts: This was nothing like Skylar's first song.
Randy: I am a ginormous fan. You are fearless. It was effortless. Another great performance.
Jennifer: You're so comfortable up there. You took us there again. You slayed it.
Steven: You can do no wrong. Just be careful and find songs that take your voice to that place.
Song choice: Ready For Love
My thoughts: Wow. How could Joshua be any better?
Randy: I don't even know what to say any more. You are so beyond your years in age and talent. This is what it's about. Beautiful
Jennifer: I don't even know what to say any more to you either. The minute you start singing, you bring us so present. It's such a gift.
Steven: I'm snapped into reality the moment you sing and then I'm off somewhere else. I hope the label picks you some good songs cause you're off to the moon.
Song choice: Bold as Love
My thoughts: A much better second song from Elise. I quite liked that but I can't watch her the same after the other contestants highlighted her use of hands during a performance.
Steven: I love the Janis Joplin in you. You've got to sing a familiar song though.
Jennifer: I know what Steven's saying but I felt you slayed that so well I don't think it really matters.
Randy: For me it wasn't the right song for this time in the competition. I felt like you were boxing with the song.
Song choice: The Stone
My thoughts: The song was cool but I just can't get into Phillip.
Steven: Very entertaining. Very off the wall. Typical Phillip Phillips.
Jennifer: It was just a little bit obscure and a little artsy for this time of the competition. I need you to do songs that will get you on the last show so you can win.
Randy: You just showed your true colors again. I loved that you showed your artist side again. I loved it.
Song choice: The Climb
My thoughts: A better second song for Hollie but her days on Idol are numbered.
Randy: That's the Hollie that we love. You're back. Perfect
Jennifer: That was perfect for you.
Steven: Good for you.
Bottom 3 for me tonight were Hollie Cavanagh, Elise Testone and Phillip Phillips. Who was your favorite?
