Just as it was a shame to see Mandisa go after country week, it would be equally unfair to see Katharine go after Elvis week.  When they get to this stage they should let the talent pick their favorite genre and track them into areas that might favor one contestant over the other.  Taylor and Elliott gave some of their best performances ever, so they deserve to move on.  Between Katharine and Chris, I would be really sad to see someone with so little vocal/musical training beat the most polished performer they've ever had.

Sorry, Kelly beats Kat by leaps and BOUNDS in the polish and talent departments... Katharine is good, but hardly the best they've ever had. The girl runs out of breath in the middle of phrases, has pitch issues and has problems putting forth true emotion in everything she does on that stage.

At this stage in the game, you either bring it, or go home. There is nothing about the final 4 that should present a problem... they got there because they've shown us they're capable. Coming on stage to show us you're NOT capable of performing anything they throw at you makes your seat empty.

Sad to see her go... no.

It's hard to believe that Taylor, who is at best the featured attaction on oldies night at the frat house, will likely win this thing.  Elliot is a nice little singer with the charisma of a doorknob.  Chris is the most entertaining, but his range is from rock to roll.  Kat is the most talented, but whoever picks her songs, does her arrangements, and dresses her should be fired.  Taylor wins by default.

Shocked to see there won't be a finale with Chris and Taylor.

haha i think chris deserved to go. i think the final will be between Katherine and Elliot with Katherine definately winning it. i think carrie underwood is the best idol they have ever had. i love her voice, her personality and her looks... and i love the song jesus take the wheel

I really can't believe Chris is gone. I'd have to pick Taylor out of the final three for entertainment value only. Catherine is okay, and Elliott has got to be the most boring singer I have ever seen. Every one of Elliott's songs sounds the same and he has zero personality. I wouldn't take one of his records if someone gave it to me.
