American Idol Episode 29 - Top 8 Elimination Review
Rocking out to Queen last night saw some interesting performances and tonight we're going to get the chance to see our top 8 perform a medley together as part of this hour long elimination show. But first, our weekly review of our American Idol Polls.
Bucky Covington (3%) is your pick to go this week but only just. One vote seperated Bucky and Ace Young (3%) while Paris Bennett (6%) also finds herself in your bottom three.
Taylor Hicks (24%) comeback performance has seen him rocket into the top spot again while Chris Daughtry (20%), Katharine McPhee (18%) and Kellie Pickler (16%) continue their strong run toward the top 4. Elliott Yamin (10%) languishes in the middle of the pack.
When it comes down to who you want to see go home Ace Young (32%) is just ahead of Bucky Covington (28%) while Paris Bennett (13%) rounds out your three.

ACT IS WEARING THIN.PICKLER IS THE WILD CARD ON THIS SHOW AND WHEN ALL THE VOCAL DUST SETTLES,CHRIS IS GOING TO THE BIG DANCE AS THE OVERALL WINNER....AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO SIMON'S BANK...AND HEY,WILL SOMONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW PAULA A....QUALIFIES AS A JUDGE...? GIVE ME A BREAK...AS A FORMER PROMOTER AND MANAGER OF SOME SIGNIFICANT ACTS I CAN TELL YOU THAT SHE SHOULD BE QUICKLY REPLACED BY THE LIKES OF AN ETTA JAMES OR BONNIE RAITT.
My pick is Katharine Mcphee...her vocal performance in every episode has been almost impecable. Chris Daughtry is her biggest competition because his performances have also been stellar however when it comes to vocals, aside from song choice decisions, Katharine can sing anything great. Her refined control, range, and grace is unmatched in this competition. Taylors unique voice and personality and is a plus for him but his vocals are far from inspiring....Elliot has great vocals but lacks on the personality front....Ace is personable but I think everyone is tired of his looks and still waiting for a great performance from him....Paris is somewhat mediocre to me in all departments although shes got the youth excitement to her benefit....Kellie's heartwarming homelife and her naive, likeable personality should carry her a long way but probably not to 1st place when judging her vocals to the likes to Katharine....
