Kevin Covais left American Idol last week leaving us with 10 contestants to perform Songs from the 21st Century on tonight's show. After all of your votes are tallied, before we eliminate the next contestant, Shakira and Wyclef Jean will perform their new single Shakira & Wyclef Jean - Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 - Hips Don't Lie (featuring Wyclef Jean) Hips Don't Lie. Make sure you don't miss tomorrow's elimination for that!

So who is going to rip it up tonight? I am interested to see how Lisa Tucker and Paris Bennett perform tonight singing songs from their generation considering they've been singing songs that were barely around when their parents were teenagers. Ok, you know what I mean. In any case, we should be in for a great show tonight. Feel free to post your thoughts on tonight's show in the comments below.

Lisa Tucker
Song choice: Kelly Clarkson - Because of You - Because of You Because of You
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5701
TXT Vote to 5701
My Thoughts: This is the first time I've heard Lisa sing badly. It's really bad actually and is making me wonder whether she really should stick to songs that are from her parents/grandparents generation.
Randy: Interesting way to start of the show by doing a hit song from an Idol winner and doing just an ok version of it. It was just alright.
Paula: We all know you can sing your butt off but when you take a song that is so popular you need to put a twist on it to make different and stand out.
Simon: The song was too big for your voice and there were parts that were actually painful.

Kellie Pickler
Song choice: Sara Evans - Restless - Suds in the Bucket Suds in a Bucket
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5702
TXT Vote to 5702
My Thoughts: Ok, this is painful too. The song is just boring and Kellie's personality is nowhere to be seen.
Randy: I liked the fact that you returned to your country roots but I don't think it was exciting enough for your voice.
Paula: You're way better than that song choice.
Simon: You have six years of songs to choose from and you chose some rodeo lassoing novelty song.

Ace Young
Song choice: Train - Drops of Jupiter - Drops of Jupiter Drops of Jupiter
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5703
TXT Vote to 5703
My Thoughts: What is it with the song choices tonight? I think the first three have put their dibs on a place in the bottom three this week. I have no idea what they're thinking.
Randy: I don't know what's going on tonight. Again, completely the wrong song for you and you didn't sing it well. Where was the soul in it that you have?
Paula: You've chosen great songs in the past. You'll have to tell me about that scar on your chest sometime.
Simon: You all have a chance tonight to be compared to the contemporary artists of the day. I thought that was quite karaoke.

Taylor Hicks
Song choice: Ray LaMontagne - A Lot Like Love (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture) - Trouble Trouble
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5704
TXT Vote to 5704
My Thoughts: It's interesting to see Taylor slow it down tonight. Not my favourite performance of his by any stretch.
Randy: I guess tonight we are looking for songs that you could guys could use to make a record. That song was closer to what I thought you'd do but it didn't show you off.
Paula: It's nice to see you stand behind the mic and just sing a song.
Simon: I quite like the song. I thought it was an excellent vocal. I have a problem with the style though. It's very clay aiken.

Mandisa Hundley
Song choice: Mary Mary - Thankful - Shackles (Praise You) Shackles (Praise You)
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5705
TXT Vote to 5705
My Thoughts: Last week I thought Taylor looked like a TV Evangelist. This week it must be Mandisa's turn as she comes out preaching and dedicating the song to people who want to be free. Not a bad performance but I am wondering if she won the competition, would she release a pop album or a gospel album?
Randy: There's no doubt you're one of the best singers in this but still for me, the song choices for me tonight, I just don't get.
Paula: There's a new religion and 40 million people have just joined the church of Mandisa
Simon: I thought it was a bit indulgent. I just didn't get it.

Chris Daughtry
Song choice: Creed - Creed: Greatest Hits - What If What If
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5706
TXT Vote to 5706
My Thoughts: This isn't Chris' best song either. Man.. tonight's show is turning into a real let down. I was looking forward to that but feel slightly let down.
Randy: I like the song choice but it wasn't the best song you've done. I don't think it was your best vocal.
Paula: What if, what if, what if I told you I was your biggest fan.
Simon: I think that was indulgent as well but there is a line you don't cross. Creed wouldn't be seen dead on American Idol. I think you need to start showing another side.

Katharine McPhee
Song choice: Christina Aguilera - Voices - The Voice Within The Voice Within
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5707
TXT Vote to 5707
My Thoughts: By far the best vocal so far tonight. I don't think it's the best song for Katharine but better than what the others have chosen thus far.
Randy: It was a good song choice but you didn't bring anything new to it.
Paula: We stress all the time that if you're going to do a song like that then you have to step it up but I wouldn't change a thing.
Simon: I think it was the best tonight and was almost as good as Christina.

Bucky Covington
Song choice: Tim McGraw - Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 - Real Good Man Real Good Man
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5708
TXT Vote to 5708
My Thoughts: Great song for Bucky. I think this could be his best performance on American Idol so far. I'm not a big fan but this is definitely something that suits his personality and style. And he looks the part with the shirt and hat.
Randy: That is definitely the right kind of song for you.
Paula: Be careful with your diction so we can hear what you're saying.
Simon: I thought it was ok. But if this was a paid concert that is the point I'd be leaving.

Paris Bennett
Song choice: Beyoncé - Austin Powers in Goldmember - Work It Out Work It Out
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5709
TXT Vote to 5709
My Thoughts: This is great to see. Paris is finally back to having fun on stage. She is even dancing around. I'm not sure I like the earings but who really cares. Paris was great!
Randy: All I can say is that was fearless. That was the bomb. The best performance of the night.
Paula: That was awesome. I think the pussy cat dolls might be calling.
Simon: I thought that was precocious. It reminded me of a little girl pretending to be Beyonce. Whoppee.

Elliott Yamin
Song choice: Gavin DeGraw - Chariot - Stripped - I Don't Want to Be I Don't Wanna Be
Ph Vote: 1 866 436 5710
TXT Vote to 5710
My Thoughts: Elliott just looks weird bobbing to this song. He can definitely sing but I don't think he's really pulled this off as good as he could have.
Randy: I wasn't really sure about the arrangement but we got another hot one here tonight.
Paula: I loved the arrangement. You're one funky white boy.
Simon: Great song. Terrible arrangement. Good vocal. The dancing was hideous.

I used your page in my how this week. I needed a listing of the contestants to be right in front of me as I did my mp3 recap/prediction show. I mention the site's address a few times. Good job you're doing here.

Just out of curiosity, do you think you could have any more huge blinking ads on this page? As if being in the top 10 in Google wasn't enough exposure. Sheesh.
