Brandon Rogers was the first to be eliminated from American Idol last week which leaves us with the girls having the majority - not that that was going to be a surprize.
Tonight our top 11 tackle classic songs from the British invasion. They were lucky to have
Lulu and Peter Noone from
Herman's Hermits to coach them through the week.
Right, let's get into it. First up to night is:
Song Choice:
Tell Him
Voting Numbers: 1 866 436 5701
Other than those legs I didn't really like anything else
Song Choice:
Don't Let the Sun Catch you Crying
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5702
Wasn't too bad from Chris this week. Nice tone etc but I do prefer his more up-tempo numbers.
Song Choice:
You Don't Have to Say You Love Me
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5703
Started off well but she's gotten into her wailing, pitchy mess at the end.
Song Choice:
Time of the Season
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5704
I think Blake has made some improvements on his vocals this week. They sound smoother than normal.
Song Choice:
Diamonds are Forever
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5705
Another great Lakisha performance. What is it with her and James Bond? That's two weeks in a row...
Song Choice:
Tobacco Road
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5706
Next. What happened to cool Phil?
Song Choice:
I Who Have Nothing
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5707
So this week there is gas in the tank and the car runs smooooth.
Song Choice:
You Really Got Me
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5708
Our boy Sanjaya has finally found his mojo! I don't think he'll be bottom three this week.
Song Choice:
Paint it Black
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5709
That was fun! I'm not sure I really like her or will remember her when Idol is over again for the year though.
Song Choice:
She's Not There
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5710
Song Choice:
As Long As he Needs Me
Voting Number: 1 866 436 5711
I really gotta say, I agree with Simon about Gina.. That was TERRIBLE. There were parts of it that were good but come on, too much of it was random off-key screaming that sounded NOTHING like the song. Simon tells it like it is about how they SING. It's just too bad people vote based on who they feel bad for or who looks good -- and the contestants know that. The fact that Gina and Sanjaya are still here proves it. I really think she didn't get kicked the hell off this week only because she gave that whole "i don't give a crapi think i did great" speech. Keep brushing off VALID criticism like you're above it instead of improving yourself sweetie, you'll be kicking yourself in a month.
Haley would make a good, quick romp. Then send her out the door.
It might be fun for a queerbot to poke that Sanjaya boy in the keester, too.
Seacrest wants to. You know he does.
Oh, well. Doolitlte and Lakisha can sing, but they are a dime a dozen.
Nobody else is any good.
since we seen the best dozen, I would love to spend a dime for producing Melinda.....lol listen im gonna take a wild guess and say you're no musician ....let me help you out (musically speaking) I have liked very few singers on this talent contest over the seasons although i recognize most of the finalists have some real talent but Doolittle is truly the real thing ...im not saying shes gonna win ..im only telling you she is a phenom.,... she is twice the singer that carrie kelly clay ruben and fantasia are combined.....understand im not voting and i dont care if she wins and i also am not trying to convince you...and she may not sing what you or anyone else likes taste wise however the fact remains is its bordering unfair &lopsided but the cream doesnt always rise so who knows (and yes I know you said she is good) dont underestimate though
The whole night was a bit pleasing compared to last week. and that includes the "wild" sanjaya performance. I'm tired of Sanjaya bashing. Let him have his fun onstage. Btw Does he enjoy masochistic pleasures from the critiques?
But ugh, seriously I don't wanna see him in the Idol Tours. I'm not gonna pay for the tickets and listen to him sing. Maybe my curry eating friends would buy his English records (not!).
As usual, Lakisha and Melinda rock! And Blake finally scored higher than Chris Richardson in my book this week. wtg man! Chris has been picking very good songs for him the past weeks.
To reiterate my previous post, UNIQUENESS separate one artist from the rest. Watchout copycats, you're on the chopping block.
Sanjaya is awesome. I voted for him over 1000 times last night on Dial Idol. That little blonde girl who was crying over Sanjaya and who came up on the stage at the end will be back!
Sanjaya stays because of all of the telemarketers in India keep calling in...and as anyone who has tried to receive customer support by phone will tell you...that's a lot of votes!
Oh, so that's why I can't get anyone from Dell to help me with tech support. they are all voting for Sanjaya. Well, tell you what. I will finish out this season because of Melinda, Lakesha and Blake. But, if Sanjaya isn't off soon, I will not be watching anymore Idol. The voting has got to change. What did one person say, she voted 1,000 times for him, I didn't think that was possible. Tell these kids to go do their homework. However, Simon should tell Sanjaya he's great one week, and then everyone would vote him off. But remember, everyone, I don't even know how he got past Paula, Randy and Simon because even during the auditions, he was a joke. So, for them to look shocked every week that he's gotten through, they deserve it. If they have a web site up that is supported by Howard Stern, the disc jockey, then Sanjaya just may be the next IDOL. I want SanBYEya. This is the first year that Idol hasn't been fun to watch because of this stupid voting. I think they should do what Dancing with the Stars does, give the viewers a chance, and the judges make up the rest. Maybe they should in the future, let the viewers pick from the talent pool also.I can guanantee "singers" like Sanjaya would never have made it. To think Sundance and Stephanie are sitting home and he is curling his hair for next week makes me sick. Oh well. At least I have the Buffalo Sabres to look forward to.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree Sanjaya sucks! What the hell is keeping him in the running, everyone says he sucks, all I can think is that he has allot of family that is voting over and over for him.
I think that Stephanie Sounds too much like Beyonce, and its never orginal for me. She has the Beyonce-ish virbrato, and its annoying! We already have a Beyonce'. One is enough! Melinda is fantastic, Lakisha is just a Diva. Blake is the bomb! Sanjaya...no comment. Chris Sligh, I like his voice. Phil, He has a great voice too. Jordin is just a breath of fresh air! She is going to make it. She has a Whitney Houston thing going on. Jordin got it going on! Haley looked sexy tonight. She's another one up there with Sanjaya.
Did anyone else notice that in Doolittle's preformance and in the wrap up portion of the show she was using different hands to hold the mic? I don't think that it was a case of reversing the frame because the letters in the words American Idol were orientated correctly both times. I was under the impression that the show was a live show, with the ability to edit bad words, nudity etc. Could someone shed some light.
They actually film a complete show rehearsal - without judges - hours before the live show. Frequently the clips used in the recap are from the earlier show so they can have it in the can at the end of the live show.
I THINK THE TOP 5 tonite were MeLinda Doolittle, Lakisha Jones, Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis,Chris Sligh.
Sanjaya sucks!!! He should have never made it to Hollywood, let alone make it this far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
